Where do I begin?
This has been an incredible year for my photography. With starting off as Official Photographer at the Midwest Horse Fair, to having my work published in Cowgirl Magazine, to all my wonderful clients, I can’t ask for more!
But I was also in a creative slump
As creatives I feel it’s important to photograph personal projects once in awhile so you don’t get burnt out and forget why you started in the first place. Long story short, I knew I couldn’t find the light and location I wanted, and needed, in Wisconsin. If you know me, you know I’ve always loved the southwest and the colors produced there. So with two insanely gorgeous models (and friends), we set out for Arizona. We couldn’t have done this without collaborations with Oneway Ranchwear, Sundial Show Clothing, and Runnin on Luck Jewels or without the amazingly talented horsewoman, Sara Licht, and her horse Rainy. When I started posting these photos, I couldn’t believe how many people asked if the horse in the photos was Rainy. She is quite the popular horse! And with good reason…
To be honest, I had an entire novel written out with funny stories, travel misfortunes, and everything in between. But I felt like that took away from the photos. So without further ado, please enjoy the photos I’ve had stuck in my head for a long time. Candids and behind the scenes follow! Leave me a comment below and let me know what photo is your favorite!
